A public presentation and conversation with artist Shiva Anoshirvani from Konstnärslön.nu, part of the Empowering the process: working conditions in visual arts, a one day gathering on the working conditions for artists, curators and art mediators within the Öresund region.
Should we spend our time filling out forms or doing art? The precarious working conditions of artists are not unique; the entire society faces major challenges due to work automation and climate change. A general basic income for all citizens is being tested in several parts of the world as a way to meet these challenges. Konstnärslön.nu proposes an unconditional artist income by presenting several ideas as a first step to citizen pay.
The event is initiated by Konstfrämjandet Skåne (SE) and UKK – Organization for Artists, Curators & Art Mediators (DK) and will also involve the organisations METOOD (SE), Konstitutet (SE) and Uafhængige Scenekunstnere (DK).
